Chanel S/S 2014 Location – The Grande Palais, Paris
Following the day to days of Paris Fashion week, the one that has taken my breath away with it’s style & versatility is Chanels’ S/S 2014. The Art of Fashion was the theme, with the models walking a 340 meter catwalk, surrounded by 75 large instillations all designed by Largerfeld, all inspired by Chanel, including a large Gold Chanel No5 perfume bottle robot…
So much of this collection from what I can tell was light & etherial, even though all items were highly detailed & embellished it didn’t detract from the softness of the design.
The theme was accompanied by a youthfulness reflected in the models black & bleached bobbed wigs & cute little sock shoes. The Old heavy textures & stiffness was replaced by a fresh new edge to the traditional, iconic Chanel. Even the traditional pear necklace got a “Funk up”
Everything seemed to have an electric energy to it. Colours bouncing everywhere if not in the fabrics then on the models faces via the stunning eye make-up.
If you are a fashion lover & appreciate art, colour & vibrance then you must watch the full show. Certainly my favourite from PFW, bearing in mind there was much to choose from…x
